Overseas Challenges:

Rift Valley Masai Trek, departing on 7 October 2010Rift Valley

This trek has it all; wild, remote African scenery, amazing wildlife and the fascinating culture of the Masai!  We trek through the Crater Highland and Rift Valley landscapes of Tanzania.  The scenery is magnificent, with rolling green grasslands and acacia forests surrounded by jagged volcanic peaks.  We trek to the summit of Empakaai Crater and explore its crater lake, home to many birds. A safari in Lake Manyara National Park celebrates our achievements, where we can see wildlife such as lion, zebra, giraffe and elephant. Click here to book.


Hilltribe Jungle Trek, Vietnam

Local villagers
We trek in northern Vietnam through the forested hills and paddy-fields experiencing first-hand the everyday life and culture of the minority Thai and Muong people.  We overnight in traditional village houses during our trek, eating and sleeping with the families and their animals!  Time in bustling, colonial Hanoi provides a wonderful contrast to the tranquil remoteness of our trek.

Trek the Himalayas, Nepal

Annapurnas
This stunning trek takes place in the Himalayan Annapurnas, as we trek among them, we feel dwarfed by the sheer size and proximity of their snow-capped peaks.  Our challenge takes us from the frenetic, fascinating city of Kathmandu through mountainside villages and thick rhododendron forest, where awe-inspiring views of the great peaks and glaciers of the Annapurnas await us. This will be a tough challenge but one where our efforts reward us with the most magnificent panoramas.

Spire2Spire Trekathon, Saturday 21 August 2010

This is a tough event over the rolling downs and water-meadows between the historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury. At 26 miles, it forms an enormous challenge for walkers. You can walk, jog or run the route and we also offer a half-distance finishing point. There will be full support throughout the challenge with marshals and water stops along the route and pre-event transfer from Salisbury to Winchester.

Choosing to do the Trekathon as a fundraising challenge is entirely at your discretion. We recommend a fundraising target of £100 but you are free to raise any amount. You can raise money for any charity on this event. To book click here

Jurassic Coast Weekend, departing on 8 October 2010

The impressive coastline A beautiful stretch of the UK coastline but challenging nonetheless, this trek, tucked away in Dorset, will be sure to leave a lasting impression. A weekend packed with sights and sounds of childhood from fossil strewn beaches to paddling in the rockpools.

Our trek starts at Durlston Head, just outside Swanage in Dorset and we trek a total of 23 miles (36km) over two days along on the South West Coastal Path in an east to west direction. The diversity of the area is outstanding and the rugged coastline with serious climbs and decents will provide many a breathtaking view.
