Financial and Consumer Protection
Your Financial and Consumer Protection
All monies that you pay in advance for your trip are fully protected when you book with us.
Discover Adventure Ltd is fully bonded with the Air Travel Organiser’s licence scheme (ATOL) managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) - The CAA is the statutory corporation which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in the United Kingdom, as detailed below.
Discover Adventure is also a member of AITO and ABTA, both of which are UK travel trade association for tour operators and travel agents, giving you excellent consumer protection.
All bookings are authorised under Discover Adventure Ltd's (DAL) ATOL license number 5636, through the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). Many of the flights and flight-inclusive trips on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all challenges and travel services featured on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but not all the parts of your trip are listed, the parts not listed will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate.
We are a Member of ABTA, membership number Y6195. We are obliged to maintain a high standard of service to you by ABTA’s Code of Conduct. We can also offer you ABTA’s scheme for the resolution of disputes which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www.abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www.abta.com. You can also access the European Commission Online Dispute (ODR) Resolution platform at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. This ODR platform is a means of registering your complaint with us; it will not determine how your complaint should be resolved.
Every company admitted to AITO is financially assessed and bound by AITOs own code of business practice which demands clear and accurate descriptions of trips. Members are encouraged to participate in raising awareness among staff, customers and suppliers of the importance of sustainable tourism. For more information visit: www.aito.com
