Hi Becky,
For anyone that has ever smoked it sure is a BIGGY
I am cig free 4 weeks tomorrow " ME"... not the first time I've quit!
(This time I am on a product in tablet form, supervised by Nurse at the surgery - this helps as hubby is still a puffin' anyway... )
Already I am seeing the benefits to my training - how does that song go? something like "Stronger, Longer, Harder, Faster..."
The money I have saved is going towards my trek (Iceland 2010) so it's a win win...
I see you signed up for Hadrians Wall, this your first challenge?

Yes this is my first walk and I am doing it for the MS Society, as my husband has MS. I am actually enjoying my long walks with my ipod, but finding the time to walk is very difficult.

Wow you are going to Iceland, how cool. What charity is it in aid of? I am loving the walking song "Stronger" etc, certain music make me walk faster...I am sure I must look quite ridicoulus sometimes!!!

Hey Becky, hows it going?
Just got back from Snowdon training weekend - great times with great friends, old & new.
Are you local to anyone else? I live Bedfordshire and a group of 4 of us (DA participants) meet Sundays for 4 or 5 hour walks, it really helps even if I cannot fit other walks into my week. 2 of the 4 are on cycling challenge in May, but found walking easier in dodgy weather etc.
Iceland is an open challenge so I'm fund raising for IRHH, Hospice at Home... in memory of my Dad. Hadrians Wall looks great too... can see I'm swapping one addiction for another already!
