is it ok to use this site to help with raising funds as it says it takes what you've raised weekly and gives it to your charity. When i come to giving the target amount for the trip will they accept this way of doing it. in installments as it were?

Hi Emma

I've used Just Giving for this trip and for previous fundraising. It's a really good way of collecting the money as lot of peole these days would like to pay by card rather than cash. You can also add any amounts you have raised offline so that the people supporting you can keep track of your progress. The charity I am raising money for think its a great way of giving.

Which trip are you on? I'm off to Kilimanjaro 27th August.

Im going to do the london to paris cycle next june, 2011 for the born free foundation.

I'm new to this and quite unfit at the moment so im glad i've got a lot of time to train and fundraise.
