British Science Association

Established in 1831, the British Science Association is the UK's nationwide, open membership organisation which provides opportunities for people of all ages to learn about, discuss and challenge the sciences and their implications. The Association aims to affirm science as a primary cultural force and organises a diverse programme of events at national, regional and local level. Our 32 branches have been key to our success. They help communicate the excitement of science and help people engage with the many inter-relationships between science and society. Branches engage with local communities that we would otherwise be unable to reach, helping volunteers gain essential practical skills and organising engaging events that are mostly free of charge to the general public.
