Cedar Foundation

Cedar’s core purpose is to provide exceptional services that meet the current and changing needs of people with disabilities. We passionately believe in the right of people with disabilities to make a contribution to all aspects of community life in line with our Vision of a society accessible to all. Everything Cedar does is about inclusion for people with disabilities, whether at work, in the home or socially.

Cedar develops and delivers services to support children and adults with disabilities. Cedar’s service users include people with complex physical, sensory and learning disabilities including congenital disabilities (e.g. cerebral palsy) and acquired disability (e.g. spinal injury) and emerging needs (e.g. children with complex health care needs or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)). It supports those with brain injury, often resulting from road traffic accidents or stroke. Service users may have sensory disabilities including visual impairments.

Cedar is one of the oldest charitable organisations in Northern Ireland established in 1941 we now have 24 locations helping over 2,000 people with disabilities and their families per year.
