Cornwall Air Ambulance

Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust needs to raise around £1.7million each year to keep the air ambulance flying. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on public fundraising to keep the vital emergency air ambulance service available, free at the point of need for those who need it most. Our crew of two paramedics and one pilot fly an average of 1,000 missions in Cornwall each year, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Based at Newquay, they cover the whole county and can reach the Isles of Scilly within 30 minutes. Most frequently airlifting patients to Treliske Hospital in Truro or Derriford in Plymouth, occasionally the aircraft transfers specialist cases to other hospitals such as Frenchay in Bristol. The air ambulance is most often tasked to time-critical patients, where their best chance of recovery means getting them to hospital as quickly as possible. This includes trauma patients, but also cases resulting from medical conditions or inter-hospital transfers. Please support Cornwall Air Ambulance, it is an absolutely vital service and we need you to keep us flying!
