Look Good Feel Better

Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is the only UK charity that helps women cancer patients combat the visible side-effects of their treatment by offering free skincare and make-up workshops through a network of hospitals and cancer support centres nationwide.

After the shock of being diagnosed with cancer, many women are then devastated by the distressing side-effects of their treatment, some of which can dramatically change their appearance, with the loss of hair, eyebrows and eyelashes being particularly difficult to cope with.

In 2012, the charity ran 1,100 workshops in 65 hospitals or cancer centres and supported 11,000 women. However, with over 140,000 newly diagnosed women each year, there are many more that could benefit from their support, if LGFB had the funds to extend their programme.
