Open Up Music

We have a simple mission - to open up music to young disabled musicians. We work alongside young people, tackling inequality, and creating new musical forms for the 21st century. We do this through our interconnected programmes. Open Orchestras helps special schools set up accessible orchestras so that hundreds of young disabled people get access to music education every year and The National Open Youth Orchestra (NOYO) is the world’s first disabled-led national youth orchestra. Alongside these programmes our award-winning digital musical instrument, Clarion, will be made commercially available in 2024, enabling musicians across the UK to access it and play it with any part of their body.
