Scottish Autism

Autism is a lifelong developmental condition that affects the way a person communicates, interacts, processes information and socialises with others. There is a lack of understanding among the general public about the issues autistic people face in their daily lives, we strive for sustainable societal change. There are approximately 56,000 autistic people in Scotland. We offer a diverse range of direct services for autistic people including education, day and vocational opportunities, residential, supported living, outreach, respite and specialist transition services. We also provide general and specialist advice to a large number of autistic people, their families and communities via our Autism Advice Line and online support programmes.
