Southern Spinal Injuries Trust (SSIT)

The Southern Spinal Injuries Trust (SSIT) is a regional charity set up to support the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury and spinal cord injured people living in the South and South West of England.

SSIT’s goal is simple: to positively impact on the health and quality of life of patients, assisting with the provision of equipment, enabling greater independence and participation in society again.

In 2010 SSIT launched a £100,000 appeal to fund the building of a rehabilitation garden at the Spinal Centre. This ‘Jubilee Garden’ will encourage rehabilitation and wellbeing through gardening as well as providing a patients with an accessible social area outside.
