The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust operates at a field level in Kenya for the protection and preservation of wild animals and habitats. Best known for the hand-raising and reintegration of orphaned baby elephants and rhinos, offering them a future in the wild, we also operate Anti-Poaching and Mobile Veterinary Units, as well as Aerial Surveillance Teams, to keep wild animals of all kinds safe. In addition, we run Community Outreach Programs to build sustainable relationships with local communities bordering Kenya’s National Parks and protected areas, striving to improve living conditions, educational standards and to reduce human-wildlife conflict.
