Corporate & Private Adventures FAQs
We offer a high quality level of service, which means we might not be the cheapest priced on the market, but we are competitively priced and in the world of events, ensuring you get access to the best possible service – including trained UK leaders and medics on your challenge with us. Wouldn’t you feel more secure knowing that you are going to get the best when delivering an Adventure Fundraising Event for your Corporate Partnership?
Our job is to make your life as easy as possible. We know how difficult it can be recruiting participants and ensuring those that you have recruited fundraise enough for the event, so by organising all the logistics of the event and supplying you with detailed information packs, you are free to focus on inspiring your team to register and everything else can be left to us.
Of course we can! We work with hundreds of charities on a yearly basis and have formed strong relationships with them over the decades. You pick the cause and we can match you with the charity that best fits your needs from our network of partners.
Of course! We have been leading adventure fundraising events for partnerships for decades and we can be there to help you build that strong relationship through a fundraising adventure, by way of presentations or even consultative meetings. Nothing beats talking direct – and we’re the experts on fundraising challenges.
Yes, always. This is something that sets us apart from other operators, and our leaders are one of the reasons we see clients book time and again with us. We know our groups will be properly looked after on any event by our qualified and experienced leaders.
… and UK medics?
If your numbers exceed 20 students then we will send a UK medic as part of your package. We have an indemnity policy in place that allows our UK doctors to treat clients on all our events whether they are in the UK or overseas. This is something that not all operators hold but we see it as a vital service that will give you, your school and your parents’ peace of mind and allows us to run quality expeditions.
Of course – you are an integral part of the expedition and we need you there! We will always build in teacher places into the costings of the trip. How many is up to you and the budget we agree.
For an overseas expedition to be financially viable for the students we usually build our itineraries and costings on a minimum of 15 students. If you know however that you won’t meet the minimum we can discuss the impact this will have on the costings.
For our overland truck expeditions it is best to try and fill all the spaces on a truck as this creates the best cost per person, the trucks fit 24 people so we aim to get 20 students as a minimum.
When it comes to maximum numbers, we are usually governed by the location in which we are operating. For example on some of our overseas events we limit student numbers for safety reasons, or to ensure groups are kept together.
In a similar way to the minimum numbers with the overland trucks – we have 3 trucks available so our trips are limited to 20, 40 or 60 students.
During the exploration phase, we will discuss a tailor-made package and define all the inclusions dependant on your expedition and your needs. As an example though, we tend to include the following:
- Discover Adventure UK leaders – we know our leaders personally, and know their qualifications and experience. They will have all worked on school expeditions before and have full DBS clearance.
- Accommodation (usually budget or camping but we can cater to all needs)
- Meals – other than at airports
- Transport on-event – flights, transfers and support vehicles
- 24-hour UK emergency back-up
- Dedicated School Account Manager
- Launch presentation to perspective students and parents including Q&A
- Mobile app holding all your event information allowing your students to access the details on the go
- Online registration system and portal to track your students
- Full information pack – kit list, training guide, fact sheet, itinerary
- Contract, risk assessments, emergency procedures
We can handle all the paperwork via our online portal. This allows parents to sign their child up via our website. We then hold all of the information, which your School representative, can access to see who has signed up and what information is outstanding. We can then chase payments and outstanding information on your behalf – or you can, which ever you’d prefer.
